Alan Soper - Managing Director
Alan joined Ian Williams in October 2004. He has a wealth of
experience from the outsourced services sector. Alan has been
Managing Director of EMCOR Facilities Services (formerly Drake and
Skull) with sales of £160million per annum. EMCOR Facilities
Services is a leading provider of management and maintenance
services for UK companies. Prior to EMCOR, Alan spent five years as
MD of AMEC's facilities' business.
Alan read Mathematics at Exeter University and was awarded an
MBA from Henley Management Programme in 1980. He begn his career as
a management trainee at NFC, becoming a Director of BRS in 1982 and
was subsequently appointed Managing Director of Lynx Express. Under
his leadership, the company achieved a National Training Award in
1991. He then joined BET plc, working for BIFFA Waste and United
Transport before advising the Ocean Group on strategic
acquisitions.
Alan has been a Director of the Business Services Association
and a regular speaker and facilitator on service management issues.
He was a delegate to the Cabinet Top Management Programme in
October 2000.
