Our Heritage

Since our establishment in 1946 we have developed long relationships with our customers.  This has ensured that we remain one of the UK’s most financially secure companies. Today, we have partnerships that extend to 2033 and this is increasing every day. Ian Williams is committed to the principles established by Egan and Latham. We were one of the first organisations to receive Demonstration Project status for Partnering by Constructing Excellence. Although our culture and heritage has supported our outstanding growth we know that in today’s challenging economic climate we must do even better.

In 2006 we formed a partnership with Shelter, the UK’s No.1 housing charity. We have worked tirelessly with Shelter to support the communities in which we work.  By supporting over 100 community projects and giving more than 300 days of our time we know that a lasting legacy is being created. Creating sustainable services for our customers and opportunities for our employees relies upon the commitments we make to innovation today. This is why we acknowledge our past successes but know that today’s investment is what really matters.
