37.5 per week

The Role:

You will provide health, safety and environmental support and advice to our site management teams. You will also produce written reports of the sites.  Ensuring adequacy and the quality of site and project documentation, you will ensure relevant information and instructions are passed on to employees and site management. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring site compliance with mandatory PPE requirements.

You will be required to spend at least four days per week undertaking site visits which will include occasional overnight stays, with the remaining time spent in our office in Manchester.

The role will report to the Safety, Health and Environmental Manager and will be fully supported by a central team based in Bristol, however as you will be based regionally key to your success will be your ability to work autonomously.

First class communication and interpersonal skills are also key; you will be a champion of health and safety, constructively challenging your colleagues where necessary in order to maintain the company’s outstanding health and safety record and keep those who are affected by our work safe.

You must have a good understanding of safe working practices within the construction industry and, if you do not already possess an equivalent qualification be willing to undertake a NEBOSH National General (or Construction) Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, which will be fully funded and supported by us.  This is a developmental role and may suit someone looking to take their next step in to a health and safety advisor role.
