A Sound Service
Ian Williams is leading the way in improving
repairs services for deaf and hard of hearing people with the
purchase of portable hearing loops.
Following its work with clients to address the
needs of residents with diverse needs, the company is now trialling
the system to ensure better communicate during home visits.
The hearing loops can be requested by
residents when they report a repair. It requires no installation,
so the operative attending can simply remove from the van and use
immediately when arriving on site.
Mike Turner, development director at Ian
Williams, said: “We’ve been working hard with ERoSH, and our
clients who specialise in working with elderly people and those
with disabilities, to better understand the needs of these
residents.
“We are keen to lead the way in establishing a
new standard of service when working in people’s homes, and this
hearing loop investment is just one part of that.”
