Giving the Red Card to Inequality

Ian Williams and client Rykneld Homes took to the pitch last week to raise funds to support children with disabilities and the Samaritans.

Rykneld Homes proved to be on the ball with a 2-1 victory over the contractors’ joint team of Ian Williams and Apollo operatives in the charity match.  Ian Williams paid £10 for each player it fielded, helping to contribute to the £500 total raised for the Mayor of Chesterfield’s Charity Appeal.

Ian Williams has a partnership agreement until 2014 with Rykneld Homes to deliver its capital works project.  The ALMO is renovating its 8,000 homes, with works including kitchen and bathroom renewals, heating installations, electrical re-wiring, roofing, as well as window and door replacement.

Dean Graham, Ian Williams' partnering manager, said: “We were delighted to be able to help such worthy causes, but not by the final score! The event was a great example of partnership working and shows our approach to working with other contractors and clients. Thank you to everyone who took part.”
