New Business Development Executive welcomed to the team

Further underpinning our commitment to investing in the highest quality client relationships, Ian Williams is delighted to welcome Andrew Shah as our Business Development Executive in the Midlands. Andrew’s appointment strengthens our active team who have already secured £35 million new agreements since the start of 2009.  Joining us from another high profile property services supplier, Andrew brings a wealth of experience in building client relationships, team direction and orchestrating bids, presentations and client site visits.

Andrew comments: “I decided to pursue my career with Ian Williams as I wanted to make a real impact within the delivery of property services to social landlords. I was finding it frustrating to be part of a team that promised the earth in bids for example but didn’t necessarily deliver the goods. I was also encouraged by the fact that Ian Williams has a rich 60 year heritage, but is still at the top of its game – no mean feat considering the tough economic climate.

“My initial perception of Ian Williams is that it is an organisation that genuinely looks after its staff who are encouraged to continuously improve and gain recognition when they do so. Our tagline may be ‘Looking after Buildings’ but people, whether employees, clients or residents are also very well looked after. I am particularly excited to have joined an organisation that offers more direct labour than many other service suppliers who have to rely on sub contactors. I feel this is a major differentiator.  And just like my football team Aston Villa, I feel Ian Williams is in a prime position to continue to be successful well into the future based on long term strategies rather than quick fixes.”
