PDA Awards 2010 shortlist achievement for 4
projects
We are delighted to be shortlisted in the
Painting & Decorating Association’s Premier Annual Trophy
Competition 2010 an impressive four times. This is the fifth year
running that Ian Williams has been up for these prestigious titles,
having previously held the Judges Award For Excellence and in the
last two years, won the Commercial Category for our work on Oxford
prison and Holloway Sanatorium. This year, we’re proud to be in the
finals of:
Commercial Category for our
work on Swansea Marina; Navarino Mansions, Hackney;
Clarendon Square, Royal Leamington Spa
Industrial Category: for our
work on Brutus Bridge, Totnes
Mike Turner, development director at Ian
Williams, said: “We are delighted that once again, we’re in the
running to pick up a clutch of awards. All four of the projects for
which we’ve been nominated, required specialist skills, training
and equipment. So often the real challenges lie not in the scope of
the painting and decorating works themselves – e.g. concrete
repairs, rendering, or metal work – but in the environment in which
our teams work. To be recognised by the PDA is a real boost for the
teams, especially for the apprentices involved, and a real
endorsement of our expertise.”
The Premier Trophy Awards started with the
Painting and Decorating Federation in 1988 and are recognised as a
celebration of the best of the best in the UK. The Awards will be
held as always at the Painter’s Hall in June.
