Co-location, co-location, co-location
Housing tenants are set to benefit from an
improved repairs service following the official opening of a joint
office by Raglan Housing Association and Ian Williams.
To ensure residents get a seamless service,
Ian Williams, the company providing repairs to Raglan’s homes
across the East Midlands, has moved a number of its staff to
Raglan’s Leicester base to work alongside the association’s housing
team.
By joining forces, customers will have one
point of contact for repairs follow-up enquires and a consistent
level of service from both organisations.
The move follows Raglan’s decision, announced
in Spring, to award Ian Williams a 15-year contract to take
responsibility for the maintenance of the homes, including
providing responsive repairs, void property maintenance, gas
servicing and breakdown, Decent Homes works, and an out of hours
repairs service.
“Working from the same office is showing
immediate benefits to both partners”, said Ian Hanstead, Raglan’s
director of housing operations. “But more importantly the real
winners overall will be our residents.”
