About the role:

We are currently looking for three experienced Carpenters to join our successful Capital Business based in Maidstone, which specialises in social housing, and planned works in the Home Counties and South London.

Duties and responsibilities of the Carpenter role:

  • Installation of second fix carpentry.
  • Completing FRA works around upgrades and remedial works, including rehanging doors and fitting intumescent fire strips, door closers and general blocking up of voids with fire proof material.

Expectations of the successfully appointed Carpenter:

  • Qualified to an NVQ 2 level in Carpentry, or similar professional body
  • FIRAS accreditation would be preferable, although not essential
  • Previous demonstrable experience with FRA works in the domestic environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong commitment to retaining these standards whilst working in the professional environment.
  • Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of environments, including vulnerable tenant’s homes within Social Housing settings.
  • Motivated in your approach to work, and able to work to individual and team output targets
  • Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Carpenter role, with use of your own vehicle for work purposes.
