Advent calendar donation

Children supported by Glow refuges will be counting down to Christmas next week thanks to a generous donation of 120 advent calendars from Ian Williams. Staffs Housing, part of the Honeycomb Group family, announced their partnership with property services company Ian Williams earlier this year. The company are now the providers of Staffs Housing’s responsive repairs and voids contract.

Last week, the business donated over one hundred chocolate advent calendars which will be enjoyed by children and young people living in refuge across Staffordshire.

Ian Williams Business Manager, Gavin Saunders, said: “Ian Williams are delighted to be able to support this initiative in conjunction with Honeycomb Group. A small act of generosity which we hope will bring a smile to over a hundred children who are supported by Glow.

“Christmas is a time which should be about bringing people together. We hope this goes a small way to making Christmas magical for them all.”

Service Team Leader Vicki Bevington manages Glow’s Newcastle-under-Lyme refuge. She said: “We are really grateful to Ian Williams for their donation. “The advent calendars are the perfect start to the festive period for the children we support.

“It’s an extra treat for them and means that they can start looking forward to Christmas and making some new memories!”
