Avast ye! All hands hoay!

A team of adventurous ‘pirates-in-training’ from our Leeds business are currently making preparations for a charity Dragon Boat race, in aid of Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People. The 10 strong crew and 30 supporters will be out in force for the 12th annual Leeds Dragon Boat Race on the 19th May aiming to make it through 3 knock heats to reach the final.

Ian Williams’ Business Manager and Blackbeard in training, Stuart Sunderland comments: “In addition to the physical rowing training, we’ve also been busy learning pirate lingo and getting our costumes ready – if we’re not the fastest on the day, we certainly want to be considered for the Best Dressed team.

“The day is all about challenging ourselves as a team and having fun, but the serious side is that we want to raise as much sponsorship as we can for Martin House, which supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

“So ahoy me hearties  – please dig deep to support this amazing cause.”
