Congratulations to Ian Williams’ apprentice Zoe Evans for getting her Golden Ticket to the CITB Apprenticeship Awards 2019 finals

Leading property services company, Ian Williams, highly commended in last year’s CITB awards for Large Apprentice Employer of the Year, is delighted to announce that its apprentice, Zoe Evans has reached the national 2019 finals in the Apprentice of the Year category. Having received her Golden Ticket at the college where she studied in Wales, Zoe will be off to the award ceremony in London on the 7th November where she will up against 8 other apprentices.

CITB Apprentice Officer Jon Davies, who presented the ticket to Zoe comments: “I nominated Zoe for her truly outstanding work ethic, performance and skill development. I’ve got to know her well during her Painting and Decorating apprenticeship, from Level 1 to achieving her Advanced Level 3, and she is simply a stellar applicant for the awards. Her positive attitude, openness to embrace CITB initiatives and competitions, and ultimately her commitment to being the best she can be, deserves to be recognised on this national platform.”

Describing her nomination as ‘amazing’ Zoe adds: “I’ve loved every single part of my apprentice journey, from the classroom learning to the practical application and more creative aspects of the job. I’m always hands-on and seen as one of the boys in our team and want to thank my work buds and my mentor, Ken MacKay. It’s a really good feeling to know that I’ve been recognised in such a way. I’d definitely recommend an apprenticeship to anyone as long as you’re willing to work hard, have goals and go full out to achieve them.”

Deborah Madden, CITB spokesperson comments: “The CITB Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the successes of apprentices and employers across the UK for their commitment and dedication to construction. We are proud of our apprentices and the employers who give them the opportunity to work and learn whilst building their career in construction. We look forward to celebrating this day with them, congratulations to all the finalists.”
