The Wrekin Housing Group’s Grove School in Market Drayton knows that a good breakfast can improve energy levels and the ability to concentrate, and so does the Ian Williams team. That’s why we volunteered to help the school build a breakfast hub so they can open a new daily breakfast club!
We provided all the materials and labour to create a new partition wall with a stable door entrance that could double as a serving hatch.
The breakfast club is run by volunteers at the school and opens at 8am every day, providing up to 800 students with drinks, cereal, toast and bagels free of charge.
Sue Thorley, Operations Manager at The Grove School said: “The construction work has significantly increased the ease with which we can provide something for pupils to eat before school and has made the facility more accessible. We have seen an increase in uptake and staff can organise the service more efficiently. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Thanks so much for your feedback and a special thank you to our carpenter David for his dedication and hard work!
