Fire stopping works for Housing21

As part of our ongoing framework with retirement living and extra care housing provider Housing 21, the Ian Williams Manchester team has recently completed passive fire protection works to Avril Court in Wigan.

Ian Williams is Third-Party Accredited with IFC, members of Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) and Fire Protection Association (FPA) and our fire protection works are delivered with rigorous compliant audit regimes, working closely with fire risk assessors to be fully compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Furthermore, we use industry leading technology for recording and audit processes, including using real time auditing apps, specifically designed for fire safety improvements.

The works completed at Avril Court under this process included replacement fire doors, compartmentation works to risers and fire stopping throughout the riser cupboards, which were delivered in a three week programme and considered all COVID-19 current safe working procedures and protocols.

Gareth Clark of Housing 21 comments on the work: “Both myself and the scheme manager were delighted with your works on Avril Court. The team was professional, friendly, accommodating, hardworking and delivered a fantastic job within a quick programme.

“The works were well organised, and the communication was exactly what is required for a project to run smoothly.”
