Fresh look for Craigs Community Centre

Whilst carrying out cyclical decoration work for Liberty Group in the Stockbridge area, the Ian Williams team decided that the local Craigs Community Centre, managed by ForHousing (part of Liberty Group) deserved a bit of love and attention. So we volunteered our services and undertook a full repainting and decorating project that has dramatically transformed the space into a fresh, bright environment that’s ready to welcome people back after lockdown.

As part of a collaborative commitment to the local community, in addition to the painting and with materials’ investment from Liberty Group and Manhattan Kitchens, we also installed a new kitchen and accessible French doors with a Equality Act 2010 compliant ramp that vastly improves wheelchair access.

Natalie Lunt from ForHousing comments: “On behalf of myself and everyone at ForHousing, I would like to send a HUGE thank you to you and the team for everything you have done.

“Prior to this, the community had fed back that they felt the centre was outdated and uninviting which was impacting on how much it was being used. It now looks so bright and fresh and I look forward to our tenants seeing the difference and being able to use it again. We really appreciate the Ian Williams’ work, along with the materials from Liberty and Manhattan kitchens. I am certain the new community centre will be a great success and once lockdown is lifted our tenants will be using it more than ever before.”
