Ian Williams gives Oakland Community Resource Centre a voluntary make-over

As part of the commitment to the communities in which we work, a team from Ian Williams recently offered their services to complete a colourful makeover at Oakland Community Resource Centre, managed by Cheltenham Borough Homes.

Mark Reynolds, Supervisor at Ian Williams volunteered the services of Harry Thompson and Dave Organ to complete the makeover using a stunning new colour palette chosen by the local Community Association.  Mark comments: “Ian Williams enjoy a strong working relationship with Cheltenham Borough Homes delivering on the refurbishment of their housing stock and we wanted to give something back to the local community.  When we first offered our services, the team suggested a couple of rooms at the Oakland Community Resource Centre.  But we never want to leave a job half finished, so instead we offered to paint the entire centre free of charge. Harry and Dave worked on the project for an entire week using an exciting colour palette which has reinvigorated the centre.”

Lara Latcham, Community Investment and Funding Manager at Cheltenham Borough Homes comments: “Massive thanks to Ian Williams, Mark, Harry and Dave for all their hard work.  This generous project has saved CBH around £3,000 and has transformed the space for the centre’s many regular users including our Work Clubs.”
