Ian Williams Secures multi-year dual Riverside Group contract, covering Painting and Repairs and Aids and Adaptations Framework

Ian Williams Ltd has been appointed by Liverpool’s Riverside Group to provide two key elements of its ongoing Liverpool property refurbishment plan. The company will deliver a cyclical painting and repairs contract, while also working as part of the group’s aids and adaptations framework.

Both services will be delivered to up to 3,000 houses and low-rise flats per year, all within the Liverpool City region. The painting and repairs contract covers external prior-to-paint repairs and decoration, at £1.6 million per annum for three years. The aids and adaptations framework will be delivered over a four-year timeframe, at a total value of £2.4 million.

Commenting on the contract, Ian Williams’ General Manager Philip Jones said: “We have extensive experience in these types of works, giving Riverside Group confidence in our ability to deliver. Our combination of direct delivery, proven track record and management capabilities are key to our success.

“For frameworks such as these it’s not only about the works themselves, but how we deliver those products and services to Riverside Group’s residents. We will be opening an office in Liverpool to act as a local base for the contract, and not only will we utilise experienced staff already based at our Manchester office, we will also take on new people and offer local apprenticeships, helping to contribute to the local economy. We look forward to working with Riverside to upgrade and improve their housing stock in Liverpool.”

Riverside Group Contracts Manager, Phil Wilkinson comments on the appointment: “Riverside is a values-driven organisation, with a strong sense of social responsibility and a firm line in accountability to our customers. That’s why it’s critical we partner with suppliers like Ian Williams who share our values. We’re committed to providing homes to be proud of and our partnership with Ian Williams means that we can continue to provide our residents with homes that are modern, warm, safe and look good.”
