Ian Williams has supported Longfield Hospice’s Christmas Tree Recycling scheme since it began four years ago, helping to raise £56,000 to date with the donation of vans to collect Christmas trees from homes and businesses across Gloucestershire. Once again, the company is supporting the initiative which aims to much needed funds to enable the hospice to provide end-of-life care in patients’ own homes and relieve pressure on the NHS.
Ian Williams Executive Director, Mike Turner comments: “We are delighted to support Longfield for the fourth year running. It is a truly wonderful charity, and we hope that the team reaches their £30,000 fund raising target this year with just a little help from us!
“We are long-standing supporters of Longfield Hospice. As well as donating the vans for the scheme, we have also helped rebrand their charity shops, supported fun runs, and funded the publication of family support booklets.
Claire Ellis, Community and Events Project Officer from the charity comments: “This is our 4th year of running the Christmas tree campaign and over the last 3 years we have raised an amazing £56,000 for Longfield Hospice, which would not have been possible without the support from the community and local businesses. This year we are hoping to raise even more money for the hospice, the money we raised from the campaign will help us provide end-of-life care in patients’ own homes and relieve pressure on the NHS by freeing up hospital beds. We are grateful to Ian Williams who once again have support the campaign by providing us with vans for our volunteer to use to collect the Christmas trees.”
