Making Shinewater Sparkle

Outside space is so important for the service users of Shinewater Court, that whilst carrying out FRA works for The Disabilities Trust in the property, our operatives decided to give the central courtyard a facelift. Apprentices Mohit Basson and Oliver Hiskett were amongst the team that transformed the area with new planters built from materials Ian Williams donated. The beds have been filled with daffodil bulbs and bedding plants to bring a splash of colour over the next few months, and when the weather improves, it’s an area for the service users to plant and grow their own plants and vegetables.

Ray Frensham at Shinewater Court comments:

“Kevin Edwardson and his apprentices renovated our raised bed area in central courtyard at Shinewater Court. Ian Williams Ltd provided all the materials, labour and some planting free of charge, they even dug over, weeded, put some shelving in the garden store and tidied it. It is going to make the gardens so much nicer for the service users when the weather is nice enough for them to be used. We are all really pleased and a big thank you to them for thinking of us”
