We were delighted to join our client Midland Heart to finally fulfil our 2019 pre-Covid pledge and donation to Birmingham Trees For Life. Midland Heart and Ian Williams were joined by other volunteers, including pupils from Quinton Church Primary School, and together we planted a fantastic 750 native saplings at Highfield Farm Recreation ground.
The project is part of Birmingham’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations and brings with it the obvious environmental benefits of cleaner air (every year, 750 mature trees can absorb 36,000lbs of carbon and produce enough oxygen for 7,500 people) but also a great new habitat for wildlife and road noise reduction, further enhancing the local environment for residents.
