Nightingale House Hospice Heroes

The Ian Williams team in Wrexham have long supported the Nightingale House Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families in North Wales. Last week, two of the team – Chris Robertson and Keiron Murphy – helped the charity with their Christmas Tree Collection service. Using an Ian Williams van, they spent the weekend travelling round the local area collecting over 1000 trees for recycling and raising over £10,000.

Samantha Amis, Community and Events Fundraiser comments: “I just wanted say thank you to Chris and Keiron for all your help. You were both incredible, and I honestly cannot thank you guys enough for all your efforts. Also please extend by thank you to your place of work, Ian Williams for allowing you to use the vehicle and for supporting our collection.

“I know this year has been very different to last year with extra safety restrictions put in place to keep all involved safe. You both adapted to all these changes so quickly and enabled the collection to run as smoothly as possible. As you know, 2020 was a difficult year for Nightingale House, as it was for many charities. The Christmas Tree Collection 2021 has enabled us to start this year in the best way possible. With your support we managed to collect over 1000 Christmas trees to be recycled and raise over £10,000 for patient care at Nightingale House Hospice.

“On behalf of everyone here at Nightingale House Hospice, thank you once again for your continued support. You truly are our Hospice Heroes!”
