Portland Villas’ makeover for the University of Plymouth now complete

The Ian Williams’ Plymouth team are delighted to announce that the doors have now opened on the newly refurbished Portland Villas, situated within the main campus and owned by the University of Plymouth. Over the last four months, we’ve been working hard on the internal and external refurbishment of the buildings as part of a £400,000 contract which has seen us carry out internal and external painting and decoration, re-roofing, mechanical and electrical upgrades, flooring and the installation of new reception desks to the mid-19th-century villas, which now house the university’s Vice-Chancellor and Human Resources department. The refurbishment is part of a wider plan to renovate a number of buildings owned by the University.

With decades of experience looking after, refurbishing and helping to protect heritage, listed and conservation buildings, and one of the UK’s largest independently-owned property services businesses, we were perfectly placed to partner with the University of Plymouth on this significant project.
