Richard Leyshon joins Ian Williams as General Manager

We’re delighted to announce the recent appointment of a familiar face to Ian Williams – Richard Leyshon, who joins us in the role of General Manager. Although not directly employed by Ian Williams in recent years, Richard has kept in touch with the team through joint customer frameworks and industry events like those organised by CIH. Having seen the growth of Ian Williams over the period and the progress the company has made, Richard was inspired to re-join the team.

Richard comments: “I’ve spent the last 10 years working for a major contractor, which has given me great exposure to strategy planning and implementing processes to enable growth. This dovetails perfectly with Ian Williams’ own ambitions so it’s a really exciting time to join. The company has certainly expanded the scope of what it offers, evolving from a two-pronged painting and general maintenance model to one of the leaders in property services, including response, voids and M+E. Ian Williams has also grown geographically, with a strong presence in the North and South East added to its traditional South West, Wales and Midlands heartlands. I’m a firm believer in creating a collaborative working environment where opinions and views are sought and valued. People are my number one priority. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with Ian Williams’ advocates, combined with our already robust IT infrastructure, gives us a firm foundation from which we can continue to grow. I look forward to being part of that journey.”

I’m delighted that Richard is joining us as his skills in staff management and motivation will help us to continue meeting our business goals.

“Richard’s role will encompass many staff, systems and business functions, including prioritising H&S across the company, identifying talent and enabling its development, ensuring business values and processes are upheld and followed and our excellent customer service record is maintained. Furthermore, Richard will be involved in identifying new customers and opportunities, understanding the markets in which we operate and identifying risk. In doing so, Richard will be making a significant contribution to the success and workplace experience of Ian Williams.”
