We want our apprentices to have as much on the job training as possible, so when the opportunity to build a complete truss roof arose, we jumped at it.
Replacing a cut and pitch roof, the apprentices got hands-on with structural work including strapping, cutting in hips and the construction of the tank stand, a requirement on this college module.
Well done to Mohit Basson, Oliver Hiskett and Elijah Ffrench. We’re welcoming two apprentices from Plymouth next to complete the same training.
