Five steps to successful proactive fire safety delivery

We are seeing growth in demand across the business for the delivery of proactive fire safety solutions. We look after a range of national clients in the delivery of fire doors, compartmentation and breach infilling, with all projects driven by a five step approach.

1 – Resource for immediate action. A major challenge for providers is the ability to work to the tight timelines associated with Fire Risk Assessments requiring immediate action. Ian Williams employs their own trained operatives so can effectively manage peaks in demand.

2 – Specialist Training As lots of works are carried out in sensitive environments for example care homes requiring enhanced security of materials, DBS checks and high levels of control on access and egress to the works. Ian Williams’ operatives also undergo specific training on dementia and diversity, delivered by the Ian Williams Academy when working in these environments..

3 – Recording and Evidencing Ian Williams has invested heavily in IT to provide the requisite accurate and detailed recording of works completed through the use of specialist apps that capture before and after pictures.

4 – Health and Safety plays a critical role as fire protection work is often hazardous, with potential for asbestos and working in confined spaces which is why Ian Williams is proud to hold the ROSPA President’s Award.

5 – Investment. Proactive fire protection delivery requires a specialist who can meet the demands of providing safe buildings. That’s why Ian Williams consistently invests in recruitment and training to expand and future proof its delivery in this area.
