About Us

Ian Williams is one of the UK’s largest privately-owned property services companies. A leader and pioneer in its field, we are at the forefront of delivering innovative planned and responsive services to the built environment.

Founded in 1946 by the Williams family as a painting contractor in Wales, we have continuously evolved both geographically and in the scope of the services we deliver to the built environment. This now includes over 16 offices spread across the UK.

Ian Williams has a strategy of directly delivering its services wherever possible, recognising that it’s our people who define and shape our organisation and sustain growth. This strategy has been acknowledged by We Invest In People, who awarded Ian Williams the Gold Standard in recognition that it’s a ‘great place to work.’ The company has also been awarded PwC’s West of England Business of the Year and is the proud holder of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) President’s Awards and won the NHMF (National Housing Maintenance Forum) Best Apprentice Scheme of the Year for its Academy. We enjoy long-term relationships with customers across both the public and private sector and work alongside many leading industry bodies in our fields.

We established the Ian Williams Foundation, to manage the significant investment we make each year to improve the lives of everyone within the areas we work.

We are an industry leader in the provision of apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities and our Academy has won countless national awards for its innovative approach to training. Many of our apprentices today will continue to progress their careers with us such that they become our managers of the future.

Ian Williams also integrates its social value investment with its customers to provide opportunities for local employment, training, community support, health and wellbeing as well as charitable projects.
