New clinical suites for the University of South Wales

Ian Williams recently completed an exciting project for the University of South Wales, Faculty of Life Science and Education. The project which was completed over a ten-week timeframe was complex due to the campus being in full occupation by teaching staff and midwifery students.

The project involved converting the existing open plan space into 6 clinical suites and a dedicated waiting area which included erecting stud partition walls, plastering, carpentry, suspended ceilings, flooring and installation of hand washing facilities.

The challenges faced by the team were noise restrictions and working in a busy corridor which meant that materials and waste removal had to be carefully planned to cause minimal disruption to the both the staff and the students.

The team were thanked for their professional and flexible approach throughout the project and highly commended for the quality of the finished work, while operating in a highly sensitive environment.
