Apprentice Scheme


Ian Williams commits to apprentices making up 10% of our operational workforce.

The Academy Apprenticeship Scheme is an industry-leading programme to attract, retain, train and develop our employees for a sustainable workforce, flourishing with long term, healthy and products careers. Many of our apprentices progress on to long careers with Ian Williams.

From day one your time will be split between on-the-job training and working on live projects, gaining all the skills in your chosen trade for a bright future in our growing company.

What does an apprenticeship at Ian Williams involve?


Ian Williams run a number of Level 2 and 3 apprenticeship programmes lasting up to 4 years.

You will attend college at least one day per week to study your chosen trade.  Working on a variety of sites, you will get the opportunity to put your new skills into practice under the expert guidance of our experienced tradespeople.  A mentor will support you along the way and help you to develop the skills and behaviours needed to progress in your career.
