Putting down paint brushes and putting on running shoes

Ian Williams recently announced a new partnership with youth homelessness charity, 1625 Independent People (1625ip). The charity which has several properties in the area near Ian Williams’ head office, helps young people find a safe space to live while they build a positive future for themselves. In addition to offering skills and material to undertake a complete facelift of a local hostel, Southwold House, the Ian Williams’ team will be donning their running shoes on Saturday 19th October for a fun run to raise money for the charity. In the spirit of the teamwork underpinning the partnership between Ian Williams and 1625ip, everyone will run the 5km route together.

Lucy Pearson from Ian Williams comments: “As a business, we are very invested in having a positive impact in its community, from being energy conscious to running an academy to help upskill young people. So the partnership with 1625ip is an obvious one. We’re soon to start work on Southwold House with the project seeing us provide a space to study, a fantastic new kitchen where young people can learn to cook, and proper spaces to relax in. Due to be finished in time for Christmas, the refurbishment is a total team effort, but we wanted Ian Williams staff who aren’t skilled for example, in carpentry or painting to have also chance to contribute to this amazing cause that is changing lives in our community.”
